Ethylene Alpha Olefin Copolymer
Impact modifier for automotive applications
Materials for Impact-Absorbing Exterior Parts
Resin modifier improves impact resistance in interior and exterior parts in today's high performing cars

TAFMER™ Alpha-Olefin Copolymer

TAFMER™ Alpha-Olefin copolymer is used as a resin modifier to improve the impact strength of TPO (thermoplastic olefins) compounds used in the development of friction resistant interior and impact-absorbing exterior automobile parts. The addition of Tafmer this ethylene alpha olefin copolymer increases the impact absorption and ductility of the main material in cold temperatures.

Automotive Advantages

The ethylene alpha olefin copolymer is frequently used as an impact modifier for TPO compounds and offers unique performance advantages for automotive applications such as:

• Flexibility
• High tensile strength
• Outstanding low temperature
• Excellent impact strength

Ethylene Alpha Olefin Copolymer Automotive Interior Applications

• Consoles
• Door Panels
• Instrument Panels
• Pillars

Ethylene Alpha Olefin Copolymer Automotive Exterior Applications

• Bumper Fascias
• Body Side Cladding
• Cowl Vent Grills

The ethylene alpha olefin copolymer has become the modifier of choice for TPO applications and is increasingly preferred for a variety of interior components and exterior parts.
